Notes from the Leadership Team meeting

Here on some tips from the Leadership meeting:

1) Always be postive
2) Be consistent
3) Look For ways to Positively Reinforce Each Child
One side note to that was that, Deb said you want to have five positive comments for each negative comment. Now it's not specifically, overall.
4) Always remember your the Teacher, Not the student
5) Make learning fun
6) Be Energetic
7) Give Clear Directions
8) Utilize all three ways of teaching - hearing, seeing, and Doing
9) Mix up your drills/activities- provide variety
10) Keep up a good pace uring drills- monitor the pace so you don't have long pauses
11) Hold children to a higher Standard
12) Tie in the Rules of the school at every opportunity
13) Always be yourself - be confident in your abilities

These are things Jim learned from Vicky. I thought they were interesting.

We also talked about the upcoming halloween party, and I threw out some ideas. Also about the heart walk coming up. I learned a few things during the meeting, so I thought it was good.
